Infinite Monkey
The infinite monkey theorem says that a monkey pressing keys at random for an unlimited amount of time will almost surely produce any finite text. This experiment brings that enormous idea down to one small word.
Every two seconds, the system generates a new six-letter arrangement from the alphabet and compares it with monkey. Each attempt is independent. The display is shared by every visitor and keeps a continuous count of exact hits and the closest result so far.
There are 308,915,776 possible arrangements. The theorem promises that the right one will eventually arrive, but only when time is allowed to stretch towards infinity. On a human clock, the work becomes an exercise in patience—and in the distance between what is possible and what is probable.
